Subject: Refresh my memory on Farsi?

I'm trying to remember how to say "I don't speak Farsi. I know only these few words." My recollection is "Man Farsi ballad neistam." And then something starting with "jomelahara..." The person who told me was from Tehran. Also, what is the correct way to say "My name is ____"? Thank you!

For "I don't speak Farsi", simply say: "man nemitavanam farsi sohbat konam." Also your sentence (man farsi balad nistam) is quite right, although it's a little bit informal. Now for your name in Persian simply say: esme man ..... ast. for example I say: esme man amir farshad ast (my name is amir farshad). I hope you have got your answer.
